So im getting there! slowly but surely. im still going over my pronouncations of a,i,u,e,o and the ra ones which are the hardest to get right!
You can follow my progress on smart.fm http://smart.fm/users/funkyging
i was watching http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zxuy6eojZY today as its a nice simple song that goes over the japanese aplhabet in hiragana adn it was nice to see my recognizing a lot of the characters now. now to just match them up.
Im going to look for a writing exercise soon thats in the romanji alphabet and try convert it to hiragana. theres no point in learning it, if i cant use it effectivly

Day 1
So ive looked over 50 characters of hiragana on smart.fm's http://smart.fm/goals/24666. I probably cant remember which words coorilate with what letter yet apart from maybe 3-4 but as its day 1 im not bothered with that.
Im still continuing with my pronounciation of the vowels every day just for practice

The begining of the...well beginning!
Why do i want to learn japanese?
Weel ive always been interested in living in japan but i havent really thought about it being possible until now. I was at college, then uni, i had a long term gf.
